It was suggested to me, years ago now, by an encouraging soul to start up a blog. So I pondered it over, wondering what the hell I’d write about. I didn’t want it to be constrained to one mould, such as recipes, or book reviews, or art galleries. I wanted to be able to talk about whatever came to mind, whatever was relevant, whatever I felt the need to share. But what would I call something like that?
I mulled it over, wrote down some ideas, and tinkered until something began to formulate. The word “snippet” stood out to me, as it means a small scrap or brief extract. And that’s precisely what I wanted my blog to be: small pieces of me and brief extracts from life. And, continuing with my inherited German twist, I played with spellings and puns, ultimately resulting in the birth of Schnipp Its! My first post ever was back in 2012, January 2nd. It’s also probably cringe-worthy!
I have a great support system from my family, my bestie Ms. Anne, my handsome boyfriend Teddy, and my great bunch of friends! Without your guys’ encouragement and your indulgence of my dabblings, I wouldn’t have made it very far! Thank you for your continuing love and support!
